Steel Industry Heavy-duty Bearings Grease CORFINSTEEL

Complex grease Corfinsteel has much higher load carrying, wide temperature range and low friction properties compared to the properties of standard petroleum-based lubricants. It also offers longer-term operating performance than ordinary greases. Thanks to all these features, it can maintain its superior performance for a long time even at very low and very high temperatures.

  • Corfinsteel is a product with wide operating temperature ranges. In this way, it exhibits perfect performance in the range of -20 / 180 °C.
  • It shows excellent durability in all applications operating with extreme loads.
  • Thanks to its high pumpability, it saves time.

Advantages of Heavy-Duty Bearing Grease for the Iron and Steel Industry

Calcium sulfonate complex grease provides perfect protection against rust in water and salt water environments. It prevents the formation of rust and oxidation thanks to its additive package that provides extra protection against corrosion. At the same time, Corfinsteel greases exhibit superior performance against low temperature torques and their pumping properties are also quite good.

Complex grease is also widely used in iron and steel factories. The reason for this is that high temperature conditions make it very difficult to lubricate at the desired level. In such factories, automatic lubrication equipment must be constantly monitored. At the same time, downtimes are quite costly, and malfunctions can cause major problems in both quality control and occupational safety.

Properties of Heavy-Duty Bearing Grease for the Iron and Steel Industry

  • Provides superior protection in water-based environments. It also shows high resistance to other chemicals.
  • Since it is resistant to aging, its lifespan is quite long.
  • Complex grease provides extra durability in high pressure environments.
  • The product, which has very good retention properties, reduces maintenance costs considerably.
  • It is a low-cost product due to its long lubrication periods.

Applications of Heavy-Duty Bearing Grease in the Iron and Steel Industry

It is used in rods with vibrating and impact loads in the iron and steel industry.

It is used in the lubrication of plain bearings and turrets operating at high temperatures and difficult conditions.

It is used in all bearings and bearings that come into contact with salt water.

It is preferred because it provides perfect performance in all moving belt conveyor beds operating under difficult conditions.

Application Areas

Heavy-Duty Bearing Grease for the Iron and Steel Industry; used in the iron and steel industry, chemical environments, applications involving contact with saltwater, and conveyor bearings operating under harsh conditions.

Steel Industry Heavy-Duty Bearing Grease Frequently Asked Questions

Lithium complex greases are also compatible with calcium sulfonated grease. Compared to lithium complex grease, a calcium sulfonate grease can be used in a variety of industries, making the high-performance multi-purpose grease the best choice.

In basic terms, a multi-purpose grease is a grease that combines the properties of two or more specialty greases and can be used in a variety of applications. For example, lithium grease can be used in both chassis and wheel bearing applications in transportation vehicles. Calcium greases were traditionally used for the chassis, while sodium-based greases were used for wheel bearings. Calcium-based greases have a good water resistance rating. However, their resistance against low temperatures is less. Sodium-based greases, on the other hand, are better at covering high temperatures. However, it is not that excellent in water resistance. Lithium greases were discovered to be superior to calcium and sodium greases when they first hit the market and quickly became the most popular all-purpose greases in the industry. In this sense, when Lithium-complex and calcium-sulfonate greases are compared, it is clearly seen that calcium-sulfonate greases are superior. In both datasheet and real-world situations, calcium sulfonate greases outperform lithium complex greases. The key difference between these two types of greases is that, unlike lithium complex greases, calcium sulfonate greases generally do not require additives to achieve certain performance criteria.

Compared to complex lithium greases, calcium sulfonate grease exhibits mechanical stability and high shear. This means less loss and burnout during work. Calcium sulfonate grease has a higher leak point and higher durability. This feature allows it to be used at higher temperatures. Calcium sulfonate thickeners have inherent qualities such as extreme pressure and corrosion, unlike complex lithium greases that require significant amounts of antimony zinc or other additives. Additionally, although sulfonates are natural rust inhibitors, complex lithium complexes still require additions to prevent rust. Calcium sulfonate also has good water resistance properties and does not degrade in the presence of water due to its thickening nature. Grease often requires tackifiers to enhance its water resistance, complex lithium properties, and water can be depleted quickly. Complex lithium and lithium greases are also compatible with calcium sulfonated grease. Compared to lithium complex grease, a calcium sulfonate grease can be used in a variety of industries, making the high-performance multi-purpose grease the best choice.

Calcium sulfonate grease is a solid or semi-solid lubricant created from a liquid lubricant containing thickening additives. It usually contains emulsified soap and mineral or vegetable oil. Calcium sulfonate grease has a high initial viscosity that decreases with sliding, resulting in an oil-lubricated bearing with a viscosity equivalent to the grease’s base oil. This viscosity decrease is called shear thinning. Calcium sulfonate grease is a name sometimes applied to lubricating materials that are essentially soft solids or high-viscosity liquids but lack the shear-thinning properties of typical grease. Calcium sulfonate grease is used to lubricate equipment that is only lubricated regularly and not with a lubricating oil. They also act as sealants, preventing water and incompressible materials from penetrating. Bearings lubricated with these products have increased friction properties due to their high viscosity.
